About College Station Community Federal Credit Union

The College Station Community Federal Credit Union was organized in March 1968, as an outgrowth of the Consumer Opportunity Agency. A widespread practice of loan-sharking existed in College station in which residents were paying as much as 100% interest on the dollar for monies borrowed in emergencies. After a series of twelve weeks of meetings on ways to alleviate the problem, residents decided to establish a credit union.  The organization meeting was held at the College Station School in March of 1968.  More than four hundred persons attended. 

Since its inception Thirty nine years ago, the credit Union has had continued growth.  Annual audits conducted by certified public accountants pronounce the Credit Union is sound financial condition.
